Days after a Tesco store
suggested whipped cream might be a good Valentine's Day present, another branch
has come up with an even stranger suggestion for February 14
A Tesco store has become the butt of jokes from Twitter
users after cheekily suggesting cucumbers were perfect for Valentine’s Day.
A shopper in the fruit
and veg section spotted the outrageous sign which suggested the salad staple
was “ideal” for February 14.
Dirty-minded social
media users had fun mocking the supermarket giant.
Hopefully it is
recommending that making them into refined cucumber sandwiches might be a nice
way to treat your loved one.
But the dirty minded on
Twitter are insinuating that the phallic shape of the green vegetable might
have more to do with the store's strategically placed sign.
The raunchy display came
days after the store placed a sign saying 'Ideal for Valentine's' next to a
shelf full of whipped cream.
